Father’s Day | Delaware Wedding & Portrait Photographer

These books are, by far, my favorite gift to give my husband for Father’s Day.  This will be the 4th year we’ve done it and it’s so fun to see how the kids’ answers change over the years.  I designed all the pages and then have the kids fill them out — some pages are just photos, some pages have handprints, some have drawings the kids did and some have questions that the kids answer.  I had the book printed at www.mpixpro.com.

And some of my favorite pages from past books:

My daughter was three years old and drew a picture of herself, her Daddy and her little brother.  You’ll notice she made sure to make the boys anatomically correct.  “A big one for Daddy and a little one for CJ”, she said.EFP_1034 copy

Handprints and footprints from  our youngest son, who was born at just 29 weeks that year.  EFP_1035 copy

I love her answer to “what does Daddy do at work?”  “He just listens to music and I think he does stuff on his computer”  [he actually teaches chemistry at a local college]EFP_1036 copy

This one was from the year Daddy was doing the Adkins diet.  EFP_1038 copy

My husband loves his Wawa coffee and the kids all learn this from a very early age.  Their logo is a goose and CJ [2 years old at this point] started calling it “Tweet Tweet Wawa”

Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful fathers out there!  But especially to my Dad, my stepdad, my father-in-law and, of course, my husband!  I’m so lucky to be surrounded by so many wonderful fathers!!!

Baby N | Delaware Newborn Photographer

When my daughter’s teacher delivered her baby prematurely, my heart immediately went out to her.  Having delivered my youngest son at just 29 weeks, preemies are very close to my heart.  So I offered to stop by and get some images of her sweet son in the NICU.  I know how overwhelming it is to have a baby in the NICU and while it seems like the time drags on slowly while you’re there, it really is just a quick blip of time in the long run.  Which is why I think it’s so important to get some nice photos of your baby to show how little he really was.

Review of GrooveBook & Promo code for a FREE Book| Delaware Wedding and Portrait Photographer

My husband and I love to watch Shark Tank – an ABC show where budding entrepreneurs get the chance to pitch their business to millionaire/billionaire tycoons who might invest in their idea.  I paid extra attention when the owners of a company called “GrooveBook” gave their pitch because it dealt with printing your cell phone images ~ something I am terrible about doing.  My cell pictures tend to sit on my phone taking up lots of memory.

Anyway, the idea is that you download their app and each month, you upload up to 100 images and they create a 4.5″ x 6.5″ photo book and mails it to you every month.  For only $2.99 (including shipping!).  It sounded too good to be true, but for that price, I had to give it a shot.  So I signed up (it’s a subscription type deal, but you can cancel at any time).

I did not have very high expectations for the book at only $2.99, and I was very impressed when it arrived.  I definitely would not recommend them for your “real” camera images, but it’s perfect for your cell phone shots.

Overall, I really like it.  I would not recommend getting your professional pictures printed here, but for just your cell phone pictures, it’s perfect.  And it’s only $3!!  But if you’re still on the fence, I have a coupon code for a FREE book!

1. Download the free GrooveBook app

2. Follow signup instructions

3. Enter promo code CARROW34 at checkout

4.  Begin reviewing and uploading photos

Nicole Rae Rittenhouse - Thanks for suggesting!! I just got my first book – so easy! Definitely recommend!

Jennifer Figner Groff - I use many photo apps as I enjoy taking photos of everything. Shutterfly was my go to app but their app so hard to navigate and the upload TOOK forever. Shutterflys app and mobile website are NOT the easiest from the phone. So I tried this. Not only is it easier to navigate through, the upload was MUCH faster and not to mention, the price much cheaper (although shutterfly gives you codes for 100 free prints almost monthly).
