I’m a little partial to fall weddings, since I was an October bride myself. I just loved all the decor Crystal and Mike picked out for their wedding. What a gorgeous day!

I grew up with Stephanie — same grade at school, same small church . . . so when I heard her two year old daughter had been diagnosed with Leukemia, my heart sank. I hadn’t been in contact with Stephanie for years, but I knew I wanted to do something. So I asked if I could come photograph her family before sweet Maggie got too far into her chemo treatments and lost her hair. It was a tough session since Maggie was feeling the effects of all the drugs in her system and she even struggled to see things clearly. It was heartbreaking and all she wanted to do was snuggle with her momma.
I am happy to report that this was back in June and a month later, the family received the news they’d been waiting to hear – Maggie was cancer-free!
