I grew up with Stephanie — same grade at school, same small church . . . \u00a0so when I heard her two year old daughter had been diagnosed with Leukemia, my heart sank. \u00a0I hadn’t been in contact with Stephanie for years, but I knew I wanted to do something. \u00a0So I asked if I could come photograph her family before sweet Maggie got too far into \u00a0her chemo treatments and lost her hair. \u00a0It was a tough session since Maggie was feeling the effects of all the drugs in her system and she even struggled to see things clearly. \u00a0It was heartbreaking and all she wanted to do was snuggle with her momma.<\/p>\n

I am happy to report that this was back in June and a month later, the family received the news they’d been waiting to hear – Maggie was cancer-free!<\/p>\n
