Baby C [Delaware Baby Photographer]

Little Miss C was born 8 weeks early and spent quite a bit of time in the hospital.  But she’s now 4 months old and healthy as can be.  Not to mention, a total sweetheart.  She has such long lashes for being a blond!

You can tell how much C loves her Momma.  Just look at that sweet smile.

I’m in love with these next two images.  C was crying in the first one (obviously) and all Mom had to do was pull her towards her face and immediately, C calmed down.

Giving is Awesome [Delaware Wedding Photographer]

This has been an amazing year for me, both personally and professionally.  I have an amazing, supportive husband, two incredibly cute kids, a loving family and so many wonderful friends that I have a hard time finding time to catch up with everyone!

So, in the spirit of the holidays, I’d like to give a little something back.

You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.

You know someone. I guarantee it.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography — $725 worth, to be exact. Whether it’s canvas or albums, prints for Grandma, or a slideshow to watch over and over, it’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.

Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a free session and a $50 print credit (valued at $175). What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?

The rules:

* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)

* The nominee must reside within 50 miles of Smyrna, Delaware.  Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

* You must e-mail me the full story bynoon December 24, 2009 : erin@erinfarrellphotography.com

The winner will be announced on New Years Day — get nominating! I can’t wait to read all of your entries!

Open your heart to someone this holiday season — and thanks for giving me the opportunity to open mine.

With love,

Erin

Vintage-Style [Delaware Children Photographer]

Meghan and I met on a moms message board a couple years ago and I definitely consider her a friend now.  She is an awesome photographer and an even better person.   This past summer, she took my maternity/family pictures, so I was so excited to return the favor and photograph her and her two adorable girls, Brenna and Molly.  (Yup, she’s got a Molly too . . . and what’s even better is that had CJ been a girl, we were going to name him Brenna.  We were even considered Brennan once we found out it was a boy but ultimately decided on Christopher.)

Carolyn - I knew Meghan was hot, but WOW – these girls are fierce! What a beautiful way to capture the bond shared between the strongest mom I know and her girls.

Meghan - Dear Erin,

I can’t thank you enough for photographing my family in such an amazing way, but then again, you are a beautiful person and it naturally comes out in your work. I hope that the family who wins your Christmas giveaway feels half as fortunate as I feel after receiving these priceless photographs. As you know, my family has drastically changed in the last two months, and in the days that followed that new reality, my two-year-old would look at our walls and ask where her Daddy was, and I had no answers. What do you tell a two-year-old? Now when she looks at our walls she will see her own laughter, her adorable sister, and a mother who loves her very much and will protect her always. There will be no more questions when looking at our walls – just answers! Now more than ever in our lives, we are blessed with what we have – each other – and you actually were able to capture that as a moment in time. I love you for it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Love,
Meghan

Cousins [Delaware Child Photographer]

This was one hectic session and I have to admit, I walked away thinking I hadn’t gotten many good shots.  But I was pleasantly surprised once I saw down and went through them.
