Mini Sessions

Yup, I’m still hanging in here.  Well, I guess I should say baby boy is still hanging in there.  I’m due tomorrow, but apparently no one has passed along the message to the baby since he seems pretty comfy in there.

So, I figured I might as well start setting up times for my holiday mini sessions.  I have a ton of people anxiously waiting to schedule theirs, so here you go!    I’m still firming up the location, but I’m fairly certain they will be at a beautiful, private historic residence in Odessa.

You’ll need to send a 50% deposit to reserve your time slot this year.  Email me to reserve your session.   erin@erinfarrellphotography.com

Maternity leave = lots of family pics

Since I’m no longer taking on any weddings or portrait sessions, you’ll be seeing a lot more of my personal photos for the next two months.  🙂

Molly doesn’t turn two until September 10th, but with a baby due on August 29th (ACK!), I decided I’d rather have her party early and do it pregnant than with a newborn in tow.  I decided on a sock monkey theme and I must say, it turned out super cute.

The invitations I designed:

Her new balance bike from Mommy & Daddy.  If you’ve never heard of these, it’s a pretty neat idea.  Usually kids go from a tricycle to a bike with training wheels to a bike with no training wheels.  Well, the concept of balance bikes is that you go straight from this bike to a regular bike with no training wheels.  You’ll notice the bike has no pedals — she has to use her feet to move it.  As she gets bigger and gains more coordination, she’ll go faster and faster and start to pick up her feet and coast.  So, hopefully she’ll learn to balance a bike with a little less fear than sticking her ontop of a regular bike where she can’t reach the ground.   We’ll see.  But my husband and I were pretty excited about it.

And since no post is complete without photos (especially on a photography blog), here are some photos from a Photographer Shoot Out I attended in Newark on Monday.  It was the just about the hottest freakin’ day of the summer and I trudge out there 37 weeks pregnant.  What was I thinking?

I’m glad I went though . . . there were over 50 local photographers there so I was able to see some old faces and meet some new ones.  I love getting out there and networking with other photographers!

Here are some of my images from the event.  Major shout out to Gloss Salon in Newark for not only doing all the hair and make-up but also for providing everyone with lemon water ice . . .yummy  🙂
